Covid Policies

Mask Information:

In accordance with university policy we no longer require patrons to wear face masks when using the lab facilities.  Patrons are free to continue wearing masks if they wish and disposable masks are still available to those who want one.

In order to support our entire community please remember to keep your distance whenever possible and be mindful of others concerns.  We want to help make our environment secure for eveyone.

Entrance / Exit / Traffic flow:

The lab has two doors open for entry and exit.  Room 239 is the new entrance and is marked with a sign and arrows / Room 238 is the new exit also marked with signs an arrows.  These doors are for one way traffic.  Once you transition to the side lab via the main lab (238, main desk, printers) you must exit the lab.  If you wish to go back to another room you must exit the lab and renter through 239.

When waiting in line at the main desk to request a printout, equipment or waiting in line at the printers you must stand on the social distancing floor stickers.

Available stations:

In order to comply with social distancing guidelines we have reduced our capacity in the main lab by 2/3.  The remaining 9 main room stations are at least 6 feet apart and will be visible by having an active screen and a chair in front of the station. If upon entry you notice all available stations are taken please continue on through the lab to the exit.

If you just wish to print and the lab is full, you may stop at the main desk and check-out one of our daily laptops to take outside the lab and, using webprint, send your documents to our lab printers.  Simply bring the laptop back and pickup your documents. You may also use webprint from your own mobile device.

Our production room has 4 stations that are 7ft a part with barriers between stations.  Usage is by reservation only via our media reservation system: https://media.music.unt.edu/reserve

Our backlab teaching room has 5 available stations 6ft a part and are available when classes are not in session.

Cleaning Policies:

All computer stations will be thoroughly cleaned after every use. When a user leaves a station a message wil be sent to the main lab desk notifiying the employees that a station requires cleaning.  The station will be locked with a screen message and wil only be put back into operation once a thorough cleaning has been completed.  Cleaning will include disinfecting Keyboards, mice, monitors, Midi keyboards and tables.

Headphones:

No main room computer stations will have headphones by default.  Students can bring their own headphones to use on the computers or checkout a pair of our headphones from the main desk to use when needed.

All headphones that are checked out wil be collected and thoroughly cleaned when the user vacates the station and stored at the main lab desk.

Headphones on stations in the production room will remain as they will be needed for every user.  The will be cleaned as well during the post user cleaning process.
